My family flew to Florida on Friday before going to the final four. On Saturday morning the Scintas who also brought their cousin Jonathon Laise were on the way to pick us up at the airport in Fort Myers. Mac and I played basketball all morning and we were late leaving so my dad got super angry at mac and I, but especially Mac. We had to pick up lunch for everybody so we got Panera Bread sandwiches. After we got the lunch we took off to Houston, Texas, Which is located 29 degrees north 95 degrees west. Texas is bordered by 4 states 1 body of water and 1 country. To the east of Texas is Louisiana and to the northeast of Texas is Arkansas. Oklahoma is north of texas and New Mexico is to the west of Texas. The Gulf of Mexico is southeast of Texas and Mexico is south of Texas. On the Plane ride there, Jonathon, Clay Scinta and I played cards and watched a movie called Impact Point. Then we arrived in Houston.
After we landed we were on our way to the stadium. It was about a 20 minute drive. We were going to get the tickets then go to the hotel and then go to the game. But we saw everyone going in the game so then we qickly realized we were still in eastern time. So the game really started in 30 minutes so we paid a guy to let us park really close. Before walking into the game we saw Josh Harrellson's dad and said to him that we need a big game from Josh. After that we walked into the game and our seats were about 30 rows up from the floor. Since the game was in a football stadium and a basketball court is a lot smaller they had to add 40 rows of chairs to the arena. 75,000 fans showed up to watch the final four. About 30,000 of those fans were going for Kentucky. We watched the Butler VCU game and Butler won. VCU couldn't make a shot, but Butler wasn't much better. Butler won 70 to 62.
After the Butler game I was so pumped for the Uk game I started to Sweat. When the Kentucky players came out to warm up all the UK fans went crazy. When the Uconn players came out we all look away. Before the game started they showed a video counting down from 10 about both the teams. the game started with Uk down 2 to 0. We couldn't hit a shot to save our lives. I think we made only 1 three pointer in the first half. at half we were down ten. Jonathon and I were super angry so we went outside and started running up and down these walk ways. At the beginning of the second half we started a 11 to 2 run so we were down by 1 point. DeAndre Liggins had held Kemba Walker to only 9 points in the first half, which is really good. Then Doron Lamb Started hitting threes and we had the lead. At the end we were down four and Liggins hit a three to get us within 1. Then we fouled and Uconn made one and missed one. So on offense we needed a two,but Liggins pulled up for a three and missed. After that we fouled. UK hit a last second three but we were down by four. We lost 56 to 55.
